UPCOMING EVENT

Meet the Candidates Night, Monday, August 26th, 5:30 p.m.

The League of Women Voters of Cache Valley invites everyone to join their next meeting on Monday, August 26th beginning at 5:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church in Logan (178 W Center Street) when they host a Meet the Candidates Night with candidates running for Cache County Council, the Utah State Legislature, and Utah State Senate. Ballots will be mailed on October 15 with early in-person voting beginning October 29, so it will be a critical time to consider the issues that matter to you and decide who will represent you for years to come.

County Council candidates will take the stage at 5:30 pm followed by state office candidates at 7:00 pm. Each candidate will be given a chance to speak followed by answering questions submitted ahead of time from their constituents.

“National elections make more headlines, but it is local elections like this one that affect us the most in our daily lives,” said Kendra Penry, the spokesperson for the Cache Valley league. “Voting is how we let our voice be heard on everything from water usage to education and more. We must be sure of what is truly important to us and who can best speak for us, regardless of party, and this night will help all people figure out who that is before casting your ballot.”

All are invited to attend this meeting and submit questions for consideration for the forum. Submit questions for consideration at https://tinyurl.com/mpdjt7nd and follow the Cache Valley League of Women Voters on Facebook for more information.
