League Positions

How and why the League of Women Voters takes positions:

A League's positions reflect members' agreement on public policy issues. Positions are usually reached after study of the issue and discussion by members. Positions are forumulated by the organization's board of directors and readopted at least biennially. Leagues lobby on issues based on their positions.
