Letter: Voting by mail in Utah has proven to be convenient and secure. Let’s stick with it.

There is a move afoot to deny Utahns the right to vote by mail.

Utah is a national leader in open and accessible elections. We are among the first to adopt voting by mail, not by mandating it, but by offering it as an option. According to the League of Women Voters’ recent publication Utah Elections Procedures, voting by mail has grown from just a few municipalities in 2012 when it was first offered to universal acceptance in 2020.
